Like many of you, we loved Google Reader and were saddened to see it go. However, just because Google Reader is gone, doens't mean your organizations RSS feed can't be useful for your event. 

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is still the standard when it comes to easily distributing information. Setting up a feed gives you a consistently and constantly updated news feed that can easily be shared. Many events and companies publish only via RSS because it gives their followers and easy way to spread news.
